Algebraix Data Appoints Vice Chairman to Board of Directors

John Mutch Appointed Vice Chairman and Director

SAN DIEGO, CA, March 9, 2010 – Algebraix Data Corporation today announced the appointment of John Mutch as Vice Chairman and member of the board of directors. In his position at Algebraix, John will help steer the company’s long-term growth and market strategy. John, a 25-year enterprise software veteran, is currently CEO of BeyondTrust Software and has previously been CEO of HNC Software and Peregrine Systems. John has also served on the boards of Adaptec, Edgar Online, Aspyra, Overland Storage and Brio Software. He began his career at Microsoft Corporation where he led marketing in the 1980s.

Under John’s leadership BeyondTrust provides tools for large enterprises to manage administrative IT privileges. Prior to joining BeyondTrust as CEO in 2008, John was a founder and managing partner of MV Advisors, LLC, a strategic block investment firm. Before MV Advisors, John was appointed by the U.S. Bankruptcy court to the Board of Directors of Peregrine Systems and then elected as CEO. John’s restructuring of Peregrine culminated in a sale to HP for $425 million in 2005.

John served as President, CEO and a Director of HNC Software, an enterprise analytics software provider. During his tenure the company nearly doubled revenue and successfully spun out Retek in an IPO, which returned more than $2.5 billion to shareholders. HNC Software was sold to Fair Isaac Corporation in 2002 for $825 million.
