Through the use of proprietary data algebras and parallel processing, ALGEBRAIX technology eliminates the need to manually tune databases. For maximal performance and ease of use, ALGEBRAIX technology enables data to be organized for optimally efficient access and result sets to be calculated with the most efficient means possible. It:

  • monitors the query patterns of all users,
  • adaptively restructures data and
  • adjusts access methods to provide orders of magnitude for better performance.

These techniques maintain highly efficient access, even as data, query and usage patterns change across multiple applications and users.

Maintains Model of Data in Time

ALGEBRAIX technology also provides capabilities not found in other analytic relational databases. This includes the ability to 1) roll back the database to any point in time and 2) answer queries as if they were asked in the past.

The technology is uniquely capable of maintaining a model of the data as it existed at any point in time, because it includes the time of creation as a component of all data sets in order to:

  • maintain a universe of algebraic expressions relating them
  • preserve all data sets and
  • treat insert, update and delete operations as new information, not instructions to alter the data.

Schema Agnostic Software Runs on Commodity Servers

All of these significant advantages are made available through industry-standard interfaces such as ODBC, JDBC and ADO using familiar SQL syntax, which allows immediate use by a wide variety of third-party and custom applications.

ALGEBRAIX technology runs on both LINUX and Microsoft Windows 64-bit platforms on conventional commodity hardware, which provides familiar and easy integration.
