ALGEBRAIX DATA AWARDED THIRD PATENT IN DATA MANAGEMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Diego, CA, August 25, 2010 – Algebraix Data Corporation today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has awarded the company patent number 7,769,754 for data storage and retrieval methods using data model mapping. This patent covers Algebraix Data’s methodology for mapping between different schemas and data models. This methodology is what allows A2DB to create algebraic relations that work with data sets in different schemas and models.

The creation, evaluation, selection, storage and use of these algebraic relations permeate throughout the key features of the Advanced Analytic Database (A2DB). Multiple algebraic equivalents are used to store and retrieve data in different formats, such as CSV, XML, tab delimited value format, binary string format, fixed offset format and markup language format. The mathematical expressions are also used to routinely evaluate and optimize database structures based on common user queries. The algebraic relations are stored in a tree format in memory and routinely evaluated, created or destroyed based on whether common queries and available system resource validate their need.

“This is our third patent protecting the company’s intellectual property used in A2DB,” said Charlie Silver, CEO of Algebraix Data. “Algebraix has made a leap ahead in databases for analytics and these patents will protect the inventions that are at the heart of the next generation of data management technologies.”
